now? right now?

Laaaaast night. I was really bored. After I put all those pictures up I talked to Aaron and he came to pick me up. No one wanted to do anything so we went to Wendys and got food. We drove for a while, went to Jennys house to get paints and then got a really good idea. We would scare Caroline who was at Staceys house. We snuck around the back of her house to the basement window and saw them both sitting on the couch watching tv so Aaron started tapping on the window. They heard it after a couple taps and then started freaking out. They went up the stairs at some point and we couldnt see them so we went up onto the deck. I was standing in between the family room and the kitchen when I saw them come into the kitchen so I called for Aaron to come baack over and he stuck his face on the window and tapped again. They screamed so loud hahaha! It was hilarious! Then everyone freaked out cause the parents were sleeping and blah blah blah. Party poopers. It was one of the funniest things recently. I was rolling around on the ground laughing! Ahhhh so yeah. That was last night. And thats Aarons scary face.

Tonight me and Becks went to Chicago to see Camera Obscura at Logan Square. I was pretty surprised we made it there in one piece. I have no idea how to get myself around the city. We did have some help from 2 missionaries though. They were nice and mormon like. We found the place and decided that we should stand in line with the other probably 50 people there. That was at 8:30. After looking over the Onion and sitting and making small talk a guy came out and said that the show was cancelled. They didnt have power. Camera Obscura moved their show to Monday but it was ganna be at a 21+ venue. So stink. We cant go. Very very lame stuff. We took the blue line back to Washington and hung around there for a while and took some very nice emo pictures in the fountain like some other girl was and then went back to the train station with Beckis brother Tyler and then froze all the way home. We made some really nice friends though: the guys talking about Radiohead in the line, the yellow people by the blue line, fountains of water, and 2 angry train riders. It was fun all the same. I love the city. Its always been so good to me.

PS - Becki reminds me of Nellie McKay in that one picture of her with her arms up in front of those buildings.

PPS - Its Cats Cradle that "Nice, nice, very nice" is from. I could not think of it. Thanks Matt. Have fun running in Memphis.

bears dont wear glasses, silly boy

Currently: Making wishes.

Hmm, hmm hmm. Well. Ill start talking about these pictures.

The first ones are from when I went to Kyles house. We never started playing cards so they got out Tip It. that game is very intense. I have no idea how a hyper active 7 year old could play that game ever. We had a hard enough time even with the gravity balancer all the way down. Aaron got upset because he kept loosing his turns. But thats cause he sucks and doesnt pay attention to rules. You never touch the stand with your hand! I like the game. So did Kyle, if you couldnt tell.

After the game and a scene change, we needed something else to do. Stacey gave us the idea to put ideas in a hat and then draw them all out until we get to the last one and thats what we would do. I put two very good ideas in: make a fort and cave drawrings. Side note - Wet Hot American Sumemr is one of my favorite movies ever. Watch it. Love it. End side note. But my ideas didnt get picked. We ended up with Techno Rave Party, which I loved all the same. It took us a while to go down to the basement to get it all set up. First we had to decorate and without any strobe or colored lights we had to use halloween pumpkins and christmas lights. By the time we were done with all that the basement was looking pretty good. Then we had to get music. Kevin put a playlist together. Then we danced. Aaron was a party pooper and left after only taking pictures. Lame. But everyone else danced. It was great. I dont know how long the rave was happening but I was satisfied with it by the time Dance Magic was over. PS- Michael Jordan decided to make a cameo too. He loves techno music.

There was more night swimming in between these pictures. It was very nice. The pool was ridiculously warm and there were hardly any bugs out.

The next two pictures are from last night. Me and Aaron went to hang out with this kid named Frank from Huntley. I like him, hes pretty funny. And he knows interesting things to do. We went flying on rollar coaster road on our way to a truck stop diner. At the first truck stop I was informed that all truck stops are are shrunken down Walmarts. This was very true. You can get anything there. Except socks. There were no socks there. Truckers dont need socks, I guess. Still at the first stop, Frank showed us some crazy stuff. There was a whole room of phones on the first floor and on the second, yes ma'am, this was a two story truck stop, there were showers and a mini movie theatre/ chapel. It was all pretty interesting. We were sitting in the movie seats in the first picture and the second is of the shower sign. There were some really nice pamphlets left over from Sundays service too. Im upset I didnt grab on. One said something like "God says please do not die." and another showed a truck with two roads to travel, one of a grave and death and another of a sparkling Jesus and eternal life. Very comical. We made our way to the second truck stop and ate food. I got a denver omlette. It was pretty tasty. The kids we were with were good company. I laughed really hard at some points haha! Like when one called another a "dick ass." So that was last night.

Now, this last picture I took today on my way to work. It reminded me of the otehr night when I went to see Strangers With Candy in Chicago with Matt. We drove down on 90 and at on point we got squished down to one and a half lanes for two lanes of cars for constructional purposes. We were in the right lane which was a bad idea. There was a huge saw on the back of a truck going at the street inches away from us. Scariest driving time ever. It was a truck saw! Like a truck that was a saw. Like some kind of transformer or something. This truck in the picture was pretty scary too. Not as scary... but whatever. Its huge claw kept swingin around and all the branches in the back were bouncin all over the place... crazy. I love the city though. It was really warm and dark but lite by street lights and somewhat noisy. I loved it. And I loved the movie. It was hilarious! Matt really liked it too even though he never watched the show. Steven Colbert was the best character I thought. Very funny stuff.

So thats it for now... Im going to see Camera Obscura at Logan Square tomorrow with Becki. I love jazzy music. Im kind of upset though, Murder By Death is playing in DeKalb and Ive really liked what Ive heard from Matt... o well. This should still be fun. Ill try to take lots of pictures. Im really excited!

too long

I havent done this in a whiiiiiile. Sorry to anyone whos even interested in it, I dont think theres more than 3 people who are though. On the forth I got sparklers and smoke bombs and set them off with Aaron and Evan. It was pretty lame. The Double Eagle Smoke is over-rated. Aaron sucks haha! After Evan went home that night Matt Sebastian came over. We went out to get mustard gas to set off in the street. Those little things were more exciting than anything else we did that night! Umm.... I dont know. Didnt do much else I can remember from around that time.

The next pictures are from when Becks and Stace and I went to Elainas Greek Fest. We first had to stop from getting lost to take pictures of the cleaners. I liked the signs a lot. When we finally got to the Fest we ate gyros and they were delicious.

That last picture is from when my best friend Jonny came to visit me that same weekend. Hes crazy and hilarious and I love him.

Other than that I havent been doing anything really productive, besides ditching work. I promise that Ill go every day from now on though. Unless Im throwing up. I watched some good movies last week. I went to Matts one night and saw Palindromes which was weird and awkward but I thought it was pretty funny and would have laughed a lot if I had known the other people there, but I just sat being awkward. What else is new. The next day I saw Magnolia with Matt and Lara Olander. I liked that movie a lot. It was pretty long but had some really good scenes. This past weekend was really hot so we did a lot of night swimming which I love. Aaron, Matt, Lara, Jenny Baker, Kaylie Donovan(I dont know how to spell her name, sorry), and Chip Hunn came over a lot those days. I got to see Kyle too! Im glad hes back now so he can save me from bears or Russians or poison ivy in the forest now. I got a season pass to Six Flags when I went the other day with Aaron, Matt, and Chip. I had a lot of fun and scars to prove it. We went on a lot of the water rides even though it was getting dark and cold by night. Chip told me my hair smelled like a foot after the water rides but that it had smelled better before when we went on the Wizzer together. I didnt know what to think about that haha! We left at close and I didnt think I was that tired but I was very cold so I cuddled in a very warm blanket. I woke up two and a half hours later when we finally got home from getting lost and going to Wisconsin. I had no idea that I even feel asleep for that long. It was kind of weird and freaked me out a little. I dont like falling asleep in front of people. And I dont like how just now Im hanging out with a lot of new people and making friends with them right before I leave for college. Its pretty sad. I want everyone to visit me. And I want to visit people too. And letters too. We should send letters. Or emails. IMs? Texts? Sure. Whatever you want.

you better mean it if you say it...

I saw the fireworks at the beach sunday night with Aaron and Evan. I was pretty disappointed with them! They didnt have hardly any of my favourites, the really small, really bright, and REALLY loud ones! Those are the best! And all they did was shoot 5 off at the end. Whatever.

Last night I hung out with Aaron and Emily Felsk. At one point we were walking back from the park and some guy comes out from behind a tree and said something like "Youre crazy" and then slide back behind the tree sideways with some burning embers in his hand or something. It was very weird but funny! Im sure it was Mis Alma's cousin. He was a little too big. He didnt have the"Starved Russian" look down yet. Im sure he can make it there though. He just has to learn from the best, Mis Alma. Whos better than him?

PS

PS- Im really glad that I learned I could cross one eye while the other is straight. Also that there is now a picture of me sneezing with spit flying out of my mouth. I really love it.

By the way, I look really pretty after working 20 hours in two days without showering.

from my birthday

Currently: I love the sticky warm temperature of my house. I cant stop listening to "Losing Haringey" by the Clientele. I feel very dirty. Im excited to meet Buddy later tonight. I dont want to work tomorrow, or the day after. I like to look like a sailor.

It was my birthday yesterday! After a lot of work Aaron came to pick me up for the surprise. We got Evan and drove to the drive-in! I loved it. Id never been and it was everything I wanted it to be. We met up with Becks, Kevin, Joe, and Jenny. We saw Click, which was pretty good and almost made me cry. Almost. We split up to go back to my house for cake but right when we got to the car we saw ELAINA! Yay, I love Elaina. We all talked for a very long time, decided we should do something sometime, and then left eachother. It was a good time.

Side note: Heres something I hate slash love, whenever I think of something that actually has emotion attached to it, which is uncommon for me and all of my Monsieur Meursault-ness, I act out that emotion on my face without realizing most of the time. At work today I remembered last night when I ran to hug Elaina and i noticed that I had a really stupid grin on my face. Its embarrasing, really.

Back to the summary. Kevin, Joe, Jenny, Aaron, and later Evan came over for cake. I liked that time. We sat in the three season room. It was very relaxing. I was ready to sleep, but there were people over and that was more exciting than sleeping. So I decided to stay awake. And well, that was my birthday! It was good. Thank you's to everyone who was awesome anytime in my life. I love you, you know.

imagine I did this yesterday...

These are from the other day... Thursday. Yeah, I think Ill do a running commentary on it.

This is my pup, the Harry Monster. He is a monster. Believe me.

So. Since there were some difficulties with getting ready.. hair dryers... umm, we missed the train. It was very close. I had just run up the right set of stairs as it was pulling away. So I died from having to move my body like that and then we walked back to the car.

When I heard the train coming through the trees I threw my diet coke down so I could go faster? Anyways, thats my drink, looking all sad cause I threw it in the grass.

So I picked it up and drank from it again. It was good. I think it forgave me. Maybe.

Me and Aaron went to pick up Evan and then we made the next train out to Chicago. We all walked to millenium park and heard Seu Jorge play and sing. It was great. Kevin, Joe, Shannon, Mike, and some kids no one introduced me to were already there.

Oh! Haha! This guy was funny! He was dancin all over the place with his shirt off. Sexy!

We walked through the garden. Joe and I put our feet in the stream. It was a good temperature.

Joe brought up the phenomena of groups always having more boys then girls. By the end, our group was 6 boys for 1 girl. It might be true, I guess... but I like those odds. A lot.

I like this one. Theyre all looking different directions. And I need to watch Directions again. Regis needs to give the DVD to me. Probably forever.

I liked taking pictures of Joe's face even though he didnt like it. If he ever calls me Ill be talking to the back of his head. Im ok with that.

We all sat in the train station for a while. That was good. I needed a dinner so I had some cheesey fiesta potatoes from T Bell and diet coke from McDonalds. The potatoes were good. I like cheese. I like fiestas. I like potatoes. And they were shaped like squares.

Kevin played with the color accent button on my camera.

The bathroom in Around the Clock is the weirdest. First, they have ash trays in the stalls, as you can see. Second, the counter is ridiculously low. Third, the trash can is somethin crazy... I dont even know. Well thats where we went after we got off the train. It was a good time. But they are liars, closing at 12. What if I wanted to stay there "around the clock" on a weekday? Nope, cant. But I like that the second I turned 18 I was sitting in the corner booth of a resaurant I dont like by myself. I laughed. They came and sang the song to me with a piece of cake. I ate a bite, then gave it to the boys. I hope they liked it. I liked the sprinkles.
